Kim Kardashian divorce clues

I hate to admit it, but I've been watching Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

Kim is the one who decided she wanted to get off the pill.  She asked Kourtney what she thought - Kourtney was excited.  Kim talked to Kris Humphries about it, hes on board.  Then she makes her decision, and tells her mom.  Kris Jenner says NO!!!!!  WTF?

Looks like Kris Jenner is scared of her cash cow ruining her empire, and Kim's new baby will not bring in the dough.
Kris Jenner pulls the strings on puppet Kim.  Kourtney and Khloe are their own people.  Kim just lets her mom tell her what/when/where.

The fact that at the beginning of the episode, it was KIM who decided she wanted off birth control.  She tells her mom - who does not agree.  At the end of the episode, Kim no longer wants a baby.

I think the truth is unraveling about who was behind the divorce.  KRIS JENNER.
That woman needs to learn to just STFU, and stop trying to be the 4th Kardashian sister, and be their mom.

10 things NEVER to say to a stay at home mom

Stay-at-Home-mom-picture-cartoon

I read this article on a redbook link, and I had to post.

1. When the kids are older, do you think you'll get a real job?

2. How June Cleaver of you!

3. Oh, so you don't work?

4. Since you have extra time on your hands, could you whip up a few dozen brownies for the bake sale tomorrow?

5. All day with your kids? I can't even imagine.

6. I'm jealous. I wish my husband were rich so I wouldn't have to work either.

7. What do you do all day, anyway?

8. I'm sure you're not the only one who's ever wasted money on a college degree.

9. That explains why your son is so clingy!

10. Weird. I assumed your house would be superclean.

To trash or not to trash

I find myself stuck in a personal struggle as well as space struggle of baby crap!!  Well I AM a mom of two under to, so I mean that both figuratively, as well as literally.
Do you know how much crap you have to buy when you have a baby?  Crib, stroller, exersaucer, bathtub, swing (MUST HAVE A SWING!!!!) cradle, co-sleeper, baby monitors, bottles, nipples, bottle brushes.  Oh, I could go on and on. (So can your money)
I have known I wanted babies since I was a little girl.  And being an only child, I knew I wanted LOTS of babies.  Back then, I wanted 5.  (Actually, if I won the lottery, and could hire nannies, I WOULD have lots more babies.  Biologically and adopt)  I would be the Angelina Jolie - sadly, and larger version of her, but I would be her!  :)

When I was pregnant with my daughter, my husband and I did what every first time expecting parent does -   Takes their first trip (of many) to Babies R Us.  (Ours was after our first ultrasound appointment where we saw the heartbeat, and it was confirmed we had a bun in the oven.)  Once you step inside the store, you are immediately overwhelmed of all the crap you are going to have to buy to keep the child that is growing inside your body alive and safe once s/he enters the world.

Once I realized how much stuff we "needed" (because this is what the store and all your friends tell you that you MUST have or you will have failed as a parent), you also realize how much all of this stuff COSTS.  $$$$$   Good Lord.  You need a part time job to pay for all the things your child will use for only months (sometimes weeks) of their life.

I made the decision then that anything I bought, I would do best to buy something gender neutral.  And that I was going to try and get pregnant with another baby as soon as I could.  I didn't want to have this baby, store all this stuff away for 5 years, get dirty, or have it break, and then have to buy everything all over again.

So here I am, present day.  I'm in my 30's, my husband is in his 40's.  We have one boy, one girl.  (How more perfect could it get?)  But am I ready to be DONE?  Am I ready to rid my house of all the baby stuff that I no longer need, but keep it - just in case....?
I had a c-section with both children, and was asked about 17 times during my prep, if I wanted to get "fixed". I kept saying "no, no, NO".  I don't think I'm planning another baby, but I sure as hell didn't want the option taken away from me if I ever changed my mind.

Obviously when you think about babies, you think (now that I have all the baby crap) further along than the fun stuff you add to your baby registry.  You think of diapers - $.  You think of formula - $.  You think of another mouth to feed - $.  Another college fun - $$$.  Oh my. (Not to mention being pregnant all over again.  The morning sickness, the indigestion, being so tired, waddling around, and the sleepless nights of a newborn)

We live in Florida, so we dont have a basement.  And our attic is our roof.  Our house is so teeny tiny, and my son is getting out of that phase of babyhood where he crawls, so there is no need for the swing, bouncer, jumper, exersaucer, and even his car seat   Because he is so huge, he now has to go to a booster seat.

So what do I do the stuff?  Should I give it away to goodwill, or 2nd hand store?  Or do I store it - JUST IN CASE - that baby bug decides to bite...

I guess no one can make that decision except me.  Until then, my house will stay cluttered with the crap that we no longer use, because I just can't part with my "baby stuff" just YET.... :)

What to expect when you're expecting movie?

What to Expect When You're Expecting Movie

Personally, the past 2 of the past 3 years pregnant, and having this book be your bible, I was pretty shocked when I read that this book was being made into a movie.
Stars like Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz are part of the cast.
I guess they will make ANYTHING into a movie.  I'm pretty confused on this one.  This book (for me at least) is like a bible of what you can/cant/should/shouldn't do when you are pregnant.
Are they going to show morning sickness?  Are they going to talk about breast tenderness?  How everyone woman carry's differently, and experiences different pregnancies.
I guess the thing that annoys me the most, is they cast two of the SKINNIEST people in Hollywood to (I assume) be the pregnant ladies. And I would also assume that they will show them right after the birth of the child(ren) back into their size 0 jeans.

Are they going to show the REAL side of being pregnant?  Take your wardrobe for instance.  Here were MY personal stages of my maternity wear.  (Especially since when I was pregnant, I was working, and had to wear business attire)  AND not to mention, you don't want to announce to the world the moment you find out you're pregnant so you don't jinx anything.
1 - Your everyday clothes fit just fine
2 - Everyday clothes are getting a bit snug
3 - You've learned to get away with your everyday clothes by leaving the zipper down and wearing longer shirts to cover that your pants are unzipped.
4 - Ahh the cute (and EXPENSIVE) maternity clothes
5 - Maternity clothes are all of a sudden not cute, and getting snug
6 - Outgrown maternity clothes and now you are wearing your husbands shirts
7 - Wear what is clean/comfortable and fits because you are ready for that baby to be OUT!!!!

Just curious if they're covering THAT stuff.....

Baby Einstein aka Baby Crack

My son is 8 months old. Whenever he needs to chill, I put on one of our 20+ Baby Einstein videos. I personally will take Baby Einstein over any Wiggles, Barney, or any other annoying characters that sing and dress up in scary costumes. (Well, except for Sesame Street. I grew up on that, so we have to give that show a pass)
Baby Einstein plays classical music that I actually enjoy listening to (having played violin since I was in the 4th grade). These are actually songs that I remember playing, and are soothing as I **try** to get some things accomplished around the house.
Even some of these DVD's say they are for "babies" my 2 1/2 year old daughter likes them too. But its great seeing my son loving these colors, songs, and mesmerizing colors just trickle away. It like puts you in this "zen" mode. I guess thats why it became so awesome, that Disney bought them.
What is it about this? I think that that every parent of a child under 3 needs to own at least ONE Baby Einstein DVD. I personally put this on my "must have" new mom checklist. Forget that stupid bubbling jacuzzi bath that you are going to use one time, and finally realize its easier to just bathe them in the sink - BUY A BABY EINSTEIN DVD!!!
Not to mention as your child gets older, you get to hear him/her giggling at the puppets on the show is just priceless. I wouldnt trade those giggles for anything.
