The season 2 premier of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - Back to Beverly Hills shows the cast (minus Taylor) at Adrienne's home on August 29, 2011 to talk about the suicide of Russell Armstrong who was found dead on August 15, 2011
I think Bravo did an amazing job and it was tasteful and respectful.
To me Kim is the one who makes the most sense during the meeting at Adrienne's house. Everyone was worried about Taylor, everyone heard Taylor's side, but no one was taking anytime to see how Russell was doing.
Lisa and her daughter Pandora (minus her mini Snooki pouf) go to the spa. I love that Pandora's longtime boyfriend goes and asks Kens permission to propose marriage to Pandora. So old school, so sweet. Such a gentleman. :) Can't wait until we see Lisa's reaction later in the season.
At Kims, she tells us that she really isn't talking to Kyle that much. Can you really blame her? It's not even about the season finale blowout in the limo. Kyle was a bully, and mean to her Kim during the season. Kim has make it clear that she doesn't like confrontation, where we all know Kyle doesn't back down. But Kyle also doesn't stick up for her sister, and I feel, sometimes, actually feeds off of Kim being the passive person she is.
Camille seems much calmer this year. She said she feels stronger. From what I can see, I believe her. She's making appearances on TV show, and pokes fun at herself. Good for her! I have a feeling she won't be on any tabloid covers as the most hated housewife.
Taylor comes into the store to shop with Kyle like a little girl with gossip because she saw Cedric, Lisa's former house guest. Taylor has a right to think Lisa doesn't like her. And no its not because you have less money than her Taylor. (EVERYONE has less money than Lisa. OK, maybe not Adrienne) But because Taylor stirred the pot all last season. Every fight that happened, she was involved or started. Lisa sees thru Taylors bullshit, and calls her out on it.
Back to Adrienne's house for a dinner party. HER HOUSE IS AMAZING!!! We have been able to see so many rooms in her home this episode. I love how her wedding gown is displayed in her house. So jealous!!! I want to do that!!! Another thing to add to my "if I ever win the lottery list" lol
At Adrienne's you only get served the best, which includes Angels champagne. $2,200.00 a bottle. Kim declines her glass. Can I come over and have Kim's glass?? I just want a sip! :)
Was it just me that found it amusing that Ken and Lisa walked over to Adrienne's house? I know they live across the street, but for some reason, I half expected a limo, or even golf cart to transportation.
Kim comes in, saying she doesn't want to see her sister. Wow....so many issues between those two that we as viewers don't even know about.
Dinner party has started. Awkward moment when Adrienne and Paul have their little argument at the table. I think this one went a little further than the "bickering" that they said last season. Lisa even commented that the atmosphere in the room changed. Paul comments in his interview that it was uncomfortable.
The olive tree branch was a cute moment, but then Kyle manages to annoy Kim at the table. Showing that she is just plain mean to Kim.
Taylor gets asked whats going on with her and Russell, and she opens up about the two going to counseling. She makes a comment about finding her voice. Really Taylor? Did you ever lose your voice, cause you sure as hell did a lot of shit stirring last season with your voice. That one I find hard to believe.
The marriage counseling topic I think is important. And once again, Kim says it best. Talking about you don't just throw away your marriage. Fly to the moon if you have to. I'm liking Kim!
Why does Taylor always have to look to Kyle everytime something happens? She did that on the reunion show as well. ANNOYING!!!!!
Ken's comment about saying him going to a marriage counselor saying it would it make him feel weak, was a bit rude. I mean to each their own opinion, but when someone is going thru it, he could have selected a better way to explain his opinion of marriage counseling.
Taylor has to go to the restroom and tries to cry to Kyle. Taylor has too much botox and injections to let her be upset.
Lisa hits it on the nose about Taylor - AGAIN, saying that Taylor is very manipulative, and is trying to drag Kyle into Taylors problems with Lisa.
Kyle was being aggressive towards Ken, and Lisa had every right to be annoyed when Kyle was saying Ken offended Taylor.
Oh my...as Ken trys to apologize to Taylor, she has to go into her dramatics about she's going thru a really hard time right now.
Hilarious that Jiggy was drinking out of a $550 glass, and Ken takes a big gulp. YUCK.
Oh Bernie, Bernie, Bernie. Who the hell is Bernie you ask? Adrienne's chef. Who is a dick, got WAY too much air time, and told his helpers that if Jiggy the pup gets in the way to step on him? Guess who is not a fan of Bernie?? ME!!!
You know its sad, that Taylor has obviously suffered a devastating loss, and I feel bad for her, but I still don't like her. She's just a drama queen, and she stirs the pot. Again, I feel so bad for the tragic loss of Russell, but Taylor is Taylor. Rude and dramatic.
After showing us crazy previews for this season, Bravo ends it with a service announcement from the national suicide prevention lifeline. Nicely done Bravo
Best quotes of the night:
Lisa: "I'm a little reserved about Taylor, because if I'm going to invest in a friend, I want to know that I'm getting the truth. And I don't know, if it's always exactly how she says it"
Paul: "I have seen glimpses of Camille's other acting work. AKA "The Naked Detective"
Taylor: "Did he just call me weak to have to work on my own mental health?" HA! SHE ADMITS IT!!! She IS mental!
